Alar reductionFACE
The key is to reduce the size to match
the symmetry of the face!
FACE alar reduction is a surgery that appropriately reduces the nasal alar that is spread to the sides; it is crucial for shaping the form and size of the nostril symmetrically.
If the cartilage of the nasal tip is widened to the side, or it is so big that it makes the nasal tip look roundish, or the nasal alars are excessively big compared to the nose, alar reduction surgery can reduce the size of the alars to make the nose proportional to the face.
Alar reduction is recommended only when deemed necessary. If nasal alars are not spread much, and only the lower alars are wide, nasal tip surgery is usually enough to make a sharper nose.

Types of alar reduction surgery
-
- Alar reduction 1
- It can be performed in all cases and is the most common surgical procedure. The lower skin of the nose is incised in the form of a wedge, stitched to narrow the wide nasal alar.
-
- Alar reduction 2
- It is an operation performed if nasal alars are thick or they droop lower than the bridge. The alar skin is incised in an oval shape to reduce the volume.
- Candidates
-
- 1Those who have wide alars that make the nose look blunt
- 2Those who have an adequately high bridge but wide nasal tip
- 3Those whose alars droop lower than the bridge
- 4Those whose alar shape does not match the face
- 5Those who have a wide nasal tip even after nasal tip surgery
- Surgical Information
-
Surgery time: 1.5-2 hours
Suture removal: After 5-10 days
Anesthesia: Sedation anesthesia or partial anesthesia
Number of visits: 2-3 times
Inpatient treatment: None
Recovery period: 7 days (may vary depending on the individual)
FACE performs reliable operation using material suitable for the nasal shape and form of each individual.
-
- Ear cartilage
- An easy-to-obtain, highly elastic material used for making a natural nasal line.
-
- Nasal septum cartilage
- The structure that divides the inside of the nose. It is used as support for the nasal bridge and tip as well as for extending the nose length.
-
- Chest cartilage
- Easy to obtain in large quantities and simple to shape, the material can be used when in need of cartilage for multiple times of surgery and for unfailing result.
-
- PCL MESH
- An implant made from a special material and realized by 3D printing technology using polymeric materials approved by the Implant FDA. It adheres to the nasal tissue after surgery, fixing the height or position of the nasal tip.

Nose SurgeryThe staff were very kind to my inquiries, and the nose surgery I got was very satisfactory as the shape is just what I wanted. Their post-surgery care (sterilization) and other service were very nice, too! I only have good things to say about them!! The facilities are neat, and the staff are kind. I want to visit there again! I even wonder what other surgery I can have ~!
