The near-therapeutic double-jaw surgery is an advanced surgery that improves the chewing and pronouncing functions of facial bones and prevents jaw joint disorders by improving the structural problems of the bones. It solves functional problems caused by facial asymmetry, lantern jaw, chinless jaw, or protruding mouth and esthetically reshapes it to make an ideal facial contour.
Double-jaw surgery
In broad terms, double-jaw surgery is categorized into: Lefort1 (horizontal osteotomy), SSO (sagittal split ramus osteotomy), and IVRO (intraoral vertical ramus osteotomy). Since the surgical method to be performed depends on the patient's symptoms, we recommend consulting with a medical staff regarding the condition of the jaw bone prior to surgery.

01 Upper jaw surgery
1- Horizontal osteotomy [ HORIZONTAL OSTEOTOMY ]
- The most commonly performed upper jaw surgery. It horizontally resects the upper jaw bone to position it appropriately. The procedure is used for correcting chinless jaw, lantern jaw, and facial asymmetry.

02 Lower jaw surgery
1- SSRO [ SAGITTAL SPLIT RAMUS OSTEOTOMY ]
- SSRO separates the bone into two thin plates and fixes them. It has strong initial fixation, and patients can open their mouth immediately after surgery. Note, however, that applying the procedure to innate/acquired thin jawbone may be difficult.
2- IVRO [ Intraoral Vertical Ramus Osteotomy ]
- IVRO vertically resects the back of the jawbone. It can be performed on thin bones as well, and the operation time is short, but two-week interocclusal fixation is required. There is no artificial fixation using pins and wires in the jawbone.
